Contract Objectives Not Progressing - Engineering - Lost Asteroid Base

I was working on the contract for the Prospector Base. You have to move the three cargo containers away from the proximity of the base. Then, you have to repair two solar panels (by the landing pad) and finish the construction of a survival kit and gearforge (inside the building). The repairs/construction will likely require you to gather materials. However, there is not enough silicon on the asteroid to finish the solar panels. There is enough to get them to functional, but not 100%. Though, that is no problem to me, it was just an annoyance. Especially in the scenario I faced (I thought it not being 100% was locking progression and I flex all the way to the starter base, got silicon, and flew back (with absolutely no gps, too)).

I was submitting a bug report for this, but I figured it out. After completing all of the repairs/construction I was stuck on the "Finish Base Construction" sub-objective. I thought this was due to some bug in contract progression, similar to those seen in other contracts. The issue in my instance was that a cargo container from the first objective floated back into the proximity of the base and was locking me out of progressing my objective any further. To make things worse, I couldn't even see the container because it was hidden behind the building.

I tried to keep the containers around, so that I could grind them down after the contract (after figuring out the hard way that you can't do it during). So, I pushed them just out of the bounds and it appears one floated back. It wasn't until I pushed it away again that the contract finally unlocked and finished. I get it. My fault. However, (I get why it's this way) the strictness of the objective parameters are frustrating sometimes. I just hope this message helps someone in a similar boat to me, as I was lost.
