I know it is space and who can know which way is up.

An indication of level/horizon would be useful.

Landing pads could have an orientation beacon to assist with ships landing instruments.

There is a three axis grid system in the game. SE1 had several mods that would orient to that grid, and even included an artificial horizon for when in gravity, and a velocity vector when not in gravity. These were built in scripts for screens.

One of my favorite mod blocks in SE1 was the Navball. (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1401481091&searchtext=navball) It showed orientation on all three axes, and a velocity vector indicator with prograde and retrograde markers. In gravity, it showed a horizon and altitude above ground.

So it's not like any of these are hard, like I said, SE1 had this built in. I would think SE2 would expand on what SE1 already had, and I'm hoping they come in an upcoming update. But I'm kinda shocked they aren't already in the game. These are -basic- flight instruments.
