Launchable/Placeable Tracker
Not Enough Votes
Launchable as in its own block weapon. Placeable as in can be attached by the character. But it would act as a tracking beacon so if you could get it onto an enemies ship, you could follow them back to their base. A good counter would be making it easy to spot and remove. However if you are running away you wouldn't have time to do so.
I like this feedback
In SE1 all transmissions are visible to all sides within transmission distance.
Do you have any thoughts on how this should differ in SE2?

The 'placeable" version of this is called a passenger-seat, grinder-monkeys hide them (or use existing ones) all the time.
Making it easy to spot and remove with the possible size and color variations of ships would suggest the person being tracked could either see the signal themselves, or could use a detector to find it...
I suspect this would be more annoying/tedious than anything. More often than not it would be used to pound inexperienced players back to the stone-age, who would then either quit or learn to find a random field/cave to park in for a tracker-sweep before heading back to base every time they'd been out.
