After seeing this video from Keen, I have something to add.


We already know from a Keen comment under the video it will be switchable between always on, always off, automatic on.


Two additional ideas to that.


1. A option for automatic light to set the light level when the light goes on/off.


It often also depends on the players monitor and its setting and also on room brightness level when you need the light ingame to see enough. I for example play with high contrast with high brightness in a slightly darkened room compare that with players that didn't use high brightness. This can significantly shifts the light level at which everything can be seen clearly enough. And of course there is always the players subjectivity.


2. A keybinding to set the brightness of the light.


The mouse wheel feels good for such thing, so a press of a modifier key (shift/strg/alt) in combination with the mouse wheel would be nice to set the brightness quickly and intuitively as you need it right now.


I think that would be also interesting for spotlights on a ship. For example you could check a spotlight (or more) as "controlled" and all this ones are easily adjustable with the mouse wheel from a control seat.
