Hello Keen Team,

I would like to suggest the addition of an advanced mechanical and automation system for Space Engineers 2, expanding how motion, energy transfer, and construction logistics work within the game.

Feature description:

The idea is to introduce mechanical components that allow players to build complex, physics-based machinery — not just powered by electricity, but also by kinetic energy, pressure, or rotational systems. These mechanics would enrich both engineering creativity and survival gameplay.

Key features could include:

Rotational power networks: axles, shafts, and gear systems transferring kinetic energy between blocks.

Mechanical converters: engines or turbines transforming rotational power into electricity (and vice versa).

Precision automation: adjustable pistons, conveyors, and timing systems for synchronized or automated assembly lines.

Fluid and pressure mechanics: pumps, valves, tanks, and pressure-driven devices for resource handling or propulsion experiments.

Compact logic and timing tools: allowing engineers to build mechanical computers or intricate control systems.

Why this would be great for SE2:

This system would bring a new layer of realism and creativity to engineering — enabling players to design factories, moving structures, or automated contraptions that feel physically connected and alive. It would bridge the gap between mechanical engineering and electronic control, giving players more ways to innovate beyond pure electricity-based systems.

Thank you for considering this idea!

Kind regards,

Alex
