Hello Keen Team,

I would like to suggest a new block for Space Engineers 2: a Virtual Simulation Block (inspired by the Star Trek “Holodeck”).

Feature description:

This block would allow players, while in Survival mode, to enter a virtual simulation environment where they can build, test, and visualize ships or stations as if they were in Creative mode — but within defined limits such as area size, block count, or grid complexity.

Key points:

The simulation would be client-side only, preventing any load or lag on servers.

Players could build and experiment freely inside this virtual space without consuming resources.

Once satisfied, they could save their creation as a blueprint, which can later be built normally in Survival using real materials.

The block could also allow loading community-built environments or themed maps (via mods or the Workshop), providing immersive backdrops for designing or testing ships — for example, virtual shipyards, hangars, or planetary test zones.

This would make creative experimentation an integrated part of Survival progression while maintaining immersion.

Why this would be great for SE2:

It offers players a lore-friendly, immersive, and performance-safe way to design, test, and share blueprints. It strengthens both creative and survival gameplay, and fits perfectly with SE2’s vision of combining technology, simulation, and player freedom.

Thank you for considering this idea!

Kind regards,

Alex
