Atmospherics simulation
the pressurization system of SE1 is fine, but too simple, so, I suggest that when SE2 gets pressurization, three settings are used, pressurization disabled, simple (SE1 system), and advanced
advanced would have multiple gasses in atmosphere, pressure, and temperature
the gasses that can be flooded into a room are hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, CO2, and some kind of toxin. planets would have different mixes of these gasses (not hydrogen), so gas harvesting gives different things based on what planet you are on, just set a vent to depressurize
to pressurize a room you can use a vent, which adds oxygen/nitrogen and removes co2, as well as regulating temperature
for more advanced use air vents can be set to just pressurize/depressurize with a set gas to a specific pressure, scrub a specific gas from a room its in (much slower then pumping all gasses out), inject a specific gas until it no longer can, and heat/cool a room
gasses are sorted automatically in conveyors and have separate tank types to store them to simplify things (unless feedback says otherwise)
I like this feedback
if fires where to exist that would imply adding water vapor and phase change for it, which would be cool but im not sure if its too much for this

"Oxygen is not included" is a good example of gasses management. It would be though way more expensive with 3 dimensions. Would be a great idea for future improvements.

Yes, I love Stationeers where they do this.
However you have to ask yourself:
In stationeers, gasses have multiple uses and ways of production and discarding. Having these atmospherics just to have atmospherics would really add gameplay just tediousness.
How would the conveyers work exactly. De we need to pipe all the gasses separately just like Stationeers, or have a magic conveyer that mixes it and then unmixes it on demand but what if the mixture doesn't have one gas type. In Stationeers the gameplay is that you have to make extensive pipe and electrical networks but in SE we don't have those systems.
So it is doable for sure, and I would love to see it with the proper gameplay. But what does it add taking into account the design choices of SE2.
