Future of Scripting in SE2

Hello, I've seen that Scripting is planned, and I was wondering if it'll be as sandboxed and restricted as SE1, or if it might be a bit more open.

I understand that leaving open the door for everything is very risky, but in some cases, specific custom GUIs might be hard to create, if not impossible, perhaps requiring some form of WebView.

Another addition, I found out that apparently SE1 doesn't support Threading or even light Networking.

Yes, this does make everything more Deterministic, but does removing threading really make it less secure?

Networking I understand, but some developers could've still found it useful.

However, since I don't fully know how SE2 modding (with scripts) will work, I'll just have to see.

But threading could be a useful idea, since it could allow for Mods to Dynamically execute multiple functions at once, if they would need it. (Say, for accurate metrics about a ship, showing the speed in the cockpit with Customizable UI for example)
