Merge Blocks (or other block) And The Ability To Separate Back Into Two Unique Grids

When merge blocks are used in SE1 they merge the grids together creating essentially one grid, including the ability to control thrusters gyros and power systems on both sides. However it is increasingly difficult to reverse the process depending on the complexity of the grids connected.

My thoughts were you could create an alternate function or perhaps even a new block for the merge blocks which would remember the previously connected grids and make the separation process a little easier.

Think Star Trek saucer separation or multistage rockets. Or even fighter storage/ auxiliary large craft, or escape pods. The possibilities are limitless especially since the stability of merge blocks far outweigh that of connectors or rotors as they are literally a part of the same grid.

Thinking on it it would also clean up the entity list so Admins for servers would have an easier time. Those are just my thoughts...
