Are we getting artificial mass blocks?

I love making gravity cannons in SE 1, I was hoping to do this in SE 2 as well. Just curious if it is planned or not

If artificial gravity worked on ships and ammo without the need for mass blocks what would be the downside?

I would rather hope not. As cool as it is to build your own spinally-mounted implement for launching small apartment-complexes at people, such physics shenanigans also allow for gravity drives. I like going fast but having an engine that you can completely wrap in armor without effort and gets exponentially more powerful and more efficient as it gets larger tends to lead to massive battleships that dramatically outperform even the best fighters in speed and maneuverability in way that both breaks immersion and significantly damages an opponent's moral.
