Power generating Rotors
Not Enough Votes
A setting that would allow for rotors to function as generators.
Rotation speed and braking torque could then determine power generated.
Or speed only, I'm not picky.
Examples of use:
- custom wind turbines
- gravity batteries
- inertia batteries
- maybe regenerative braking
- A hydrogen engine that creates mechanical motion instead of power would then also be possible,
and could be used in combination with a rotor to generate power again.

I think it would also be fun to add an interactive dynamo that will allow you to charge a dead battery or oxygen generator at the wrong time, and this, of course, taking into account the wires that everyone wants so badly and for a reason. Well, in addition to my idea of wearable power cells and inventory, it would be cool to see a manual battery charge like in the metro game. It's a good idea.

Holy hell. This is actually genius. The rest of the game-engine handles what are essentially the in game laws of thermodynamics, and you can only put so much "energy" into rotating the grid. Too much and you damage the blocks involved, and too little it simply doesn't produce anything of value. As T8or said, it would allow water wheels and hydroelectric dams to be constructed. This is honestly a great consideration, and I am shocked it has so few votes.
