Ships rotate around cockpit instead of gyros

When turning a ship, it uses the cockpit's location as the origin of rotation instead of the location of the gyros. This feels good for small ships, but is very unrealistic and immersion breaking for very large ships.

For example, when I was building a large warship, I placed a gyro at the back and a cockpit at the front, but when i rotated, the whole ship turned as if the spot right under the cockpit had a rotor turning it.

This would make you consider where you put your gyros, not just how many, especially for large ships. Further, if a ship has 2 cockpits, why should the point of rotation change based off of which one is being used? The current system makes turning convenient for smaller ships, but is confusing and unrealistic for large ships.

Shown below is how ships should rotate, relative to gyros. The second image shows how they do rotate, relative to the cockpit.
