Dedicated "Empty Hands" Keybind/UI Element

One of the things that bothered me about the original Space Engineers, and that has continued into Space Engineers 2, is that the last slot in every toolbar is dedicated to simply emptying the engineer's hands. This effectively wastes 9 toolbar slots that could hold blocks, block groups, weapons/tools and now blueprints.
Please implement a dedicated UI element and/or keybinding for emptying the engineer's hands.
