Collision Damage disabled after initial collision.

Came across this strange bug that causes all grids to become immune to collision damage after the first time any grid is damaged from a collision. Closing and reloading the game resets the collision damage but then again after the first time any grid suffers collision damage all grids are immune to collision damage again. Grids can still be damaged with the debug tool before and after the collision damage occurs.

I should have done a little more investigating. I did determine that initial grid to voxel collision damage does not disable further collision damage. Tested by crashing into asteroid and was able to take collision damage three times. I then crashed into a grid and took collision damage once. After that collision all grids became immune to collision damage.

Summary:

Grid to voxel damage = No immunity to collision damage.

Debug tool to grid damage = No immunity to collision damage.

Grid to grid damage = Bugged immunity to collision damage.

I had a similar experience, but different in some details. I loaded up the example world and went around doing all kinds of smashing of the ships and stations into each other, and using the debug tool to blast stuff. I went back and forth and did both in numerous combinations and orders, without any apparent issue.

But at a certain point, I stopped to slap together a comical little ship (just a huge ion thruster with a seat and a gyro) and tried to smash it into things, and it is at this point that all grids became immune to crash damage. Debug tool would still do damage to the grids, but everything was apparently invincible to collisions. It was like the entire world was a safe zone.

Same issue, it has been from the start. Could you guys share your quick pc specs so we can know why it causes it only for certain people?

Not sure what else would be pertinent.

Yerp, I've also been having issues with collisions not working. I've found one of my saves consistently has no collision damage at all ever, but in other saves collision damage will stop working seemingly at random.

I meant to respond to the main thread but posted as a reply by mistake I guess, and the site will not let me delete the comment, my bad I guess
