Paint tool should have individual color settings for each hotbar instance

Hi folks! I would like to request that the paint tool have color choices not be a global setting. They should be instanced color choices tied to the hotbar slot. What that means is if I had the paint tool slottied 5 times in the hotbar, each hotbar instance could have its own color. That color should be shows in a small box in the bottom left corner of that hotbar item. That way I could plan my painting scheme, pick however many colors and setup a painting hotbar with those color choices pre-set. That way I could switch between colors instantly instead of having to go back to the color selection wheel, sometimes in a block for block basis.

The last active color choice in this method should also direct the color for new blocks, so when building new blocks with different colors it would be easier to switch between colors in newly built blocks.

The paint tool (without a change like this) has taken a 2--3 step process to change colors between blocks being placed, into an 8 or so step process. Being able to hotbar the color selections in different paint tool instances would save a ton of time.

potentially related: having blocks in hotbars pre-colored so that, for example, light armor block in slot 1 is blue and light armor block in slot 2 is red.

yeah, some method to set color and texture of blocks per hotbar would be great, if I have to hit the paint tool 'preset' as my suggestion or something similar it would be a great time saver.

I like the idea of having an easy pick palette of custom presets, but the hotbar is too easily filled with blocks, tools and blueprints.

I don't think the idea of a quicker preset of color selection and each instance of the paint gun in the hotbar being able to have its own color setting are mutually exclusive. I'm in favour of both.

I'm just a big fan of reducing steps in often repeated processes. changing a block color takes way too many steps (worse with the paint tool). If I can plan my build by pre-selecting my colors and textures (using the paint tool) and hotbar those, it's a heck of a lot simpler than going back to the color select wheel every time I go to paint a different block.

I'll (probably) know in advance what colors I plan to use in a large build, hotbar those choices and then it's one button to switch back and forth. Clear that when you're done, or keep those choices around for future repairs. How you manage your hotbar is a personal choice, but let us have the options.
