Partial copy is great. But it can be much better!
You can add some features, after the boundary box will selected:
- copy selected blocks to clipboard. Now you can paste blocks only ones. Often required to paste block several times without creating blueprint.- delete selected blocks! It will be very comfortable select area, that you want to delete.- cut selected blocks. Its just union of points above

I like this feedback
Bumping this because Partial Cut would be massively useful for detailing!
So many times I've placed an intricately detailed element into my ships and decided I wanted to move it but I have to copy the elements, then delete everything manually, then paste in the grid. Cut would make this super speedy!

Hi, yeah adding an manual selection for blocs will be very usefull. Wheel mouse is not very accurate sometimes.

this hasn't been promoted enough.
As we all know, partial copy isn't that great for the reasons previously mention, although there's a possibility this may be a temporary solution, this needs to improve.
To put it simply, the functionality as it is currently CAN'T be "Partial Copy" only, instead it needs to be "Partial Selection" upon clicking "left mouse button" to confirm the selection.
After the selection is made we should be presented with the options to:
or:
Additionally "Partial Selection" could be revamped to "Partial Select by Color" just like the paint tool that can partially paint blocks that have similar color, such functionality could be extremely useful to copy, cut or delete only specific segments that are NOT contiguously attached, that way the player can pre-paint specific parts to be partially selected by color.

I think the simple addtion of 'select starting block' & 'select final block' would go along way to making this feature more useable.
I suspect, like me, that this feature is almost never used to copy a single block, but more likely to select large sections of a build. The current mouse scroll is great for fine tuning the selection (actually one of the best solutions i've seen) but having to use it for the initial selection is a bit tedious and requires great care in precision.
If we can select the final block in all three dimensions then the initial selection would be so much quicker.
To give this a simple example:
The result is two clicks (no mouse wheeling) and the entire block is selected.
