Darker stellar background please!

I know it shouldnt be a priority, and the nebulae its beatiful, but i love the eerie solitude of dark space, rarely exploited because it could feel its lacking detail or something. I love the dark/light rich contrast of space and the background is so rich right now in every direction. Thanks a lot SE its my zen place.

I agree.
My favorite "star" background in SE has become pure darkness (just black, no stars) over time.
Among other things, this has one advantage - all visible objects are "real".
It would be nice if the "star background" could be set individually/independently for server-side play as well (as a client-side plugin). Or select/preset it in the game settings.

I dont know about going full dark but space is kinda shiny right now. At least some decrease on nebulas and brightness would make it more pleasent to watch.
