I too require this, Being VERY left handed, to use a custom key setup for me is imperative, right now the game is virtually unplayable since my required setup is impossible (I use the mouse left-handed and I prefer everything key related set around the hex pad and all the keys around it. The WASD cluster is completely useless to me), and considering it's a game in early access which means it is trying to appeal to players before it is even finished, you would think such a thing as porting the keyboard and mouse setup functions from SE1 would have been a fairly simple implementation. That to me is a missed opportunity, even small developers with only one or two people (Star Trucker as an example) realised that left-handed operation was much needed and implemented it very quickly. And maybe SE2 is a much more complex simulation/game than Star Trucker, but the implementation has already been done in SE1, to give people at least a functional option early in development would have been better than nothing, it could then be refined and changed later if required as time permitted.

Just to let you know a left handed player told me he would like to have at least the arrow keys to control the character and ship ready to bind first, that would be the most important for him.
Hi Keen Team!

Is there any update folks of when this is being implemented? I have given up to even try and play SE2 until this has been resolved, as very much unplayable experience for me.

The ability to allow both left handed and right players to test out space engineers 2, even in early release without the ability to remap keys to suit is not a feature, it is a major restriction or disability to be able to play and test a game out in early phases. even basic key remapping's should of been available within the first few days of going live. classing this as a feature is like selling a car without a steering wheel, and selling it as an optional extra.
