Water erosion and silt doposition in creative mode or 'erosion mode'

I thought that I would only ask for this in creative mode as I do not know how difficult this would be in survival.
It may not even work well in the standard creative mode and require its own mode.
It would make worlds ever so much more wow if river beds looked like they had been carved by the water and rivers would flare out in to estuaries with silt deposits into the sea.
This would require some variations in the hardness of voxels.
May be this is not possible or practical, but there is no harm in asking.(feature bloat)

If the mechanism were used in planet formation - yes.
But in the game itself it doesn't make sense, the process is too slow and long term to have a visible result during the playtime.
