Flight Sensitivity issue

Today I tried SE2 for the first time. I immediately was impressed with the "feel" of the game. As a builder and FPS player, I play almost exclusively in first person view. In order to make all my "first person" games feel the same and for me to be effective at them, I set my mouse sensitivity in the game settings to whatever level allows me to rotate the character's view one full rotation with one pass of the mousepad (right to left). Although SE2 did not allow for me to dial this in precisely, set at .2 would rotate my character 1.5 revolutions which was close enough to be playable. The problem came when I tried to pilot a ship. With my sensitivity set at .2, In spite of how many Gyroscopes I placed on the vessel, my ship would barely turn at all. For me to comfortably play this game(testing ship designs at least) the mouse sensitivity would need to be able to be adjusted separately from "strength" of gyroscope turning.

I have noticed weirdness between using the mouse and using 'Q' and 'E' and the pick up between short press and long does not quite feel right. I have found that between jack-pack and ship that I have to adjust mouse sensitivity.

Although there are surely many solutions for the Flight sensitivity issue, with another day to think about it having a seperate adjustable sensitivity setting that activates while you are flying a ship would be a possible simple solution (although not as intuitive to the user as almost any other solution I think it would lead to far less debugging in the long run).
