Multi rename in control panel

Being able to rename multiple selected items in the control panel, either by giving them all the same name or having auto numeration like when adding the same block multiple times in SE1.
even better if you could switch between the two options for example in the settings to go along with people's preferred naming schemes

rename all selected blocks with a new common name and iteration number,
or a way to replace a string with another, for selected blocks;
would help a lot.

shut up and take my vote. Seriously this has needed to be a thing for ages. Being able to give blocks a common name and numerate them all in one go would be a godsend for naming.

Yes, I use the mod-added feature a lot, it's useful when you have a lot of stuff to organise like batteries 🔋

i agree, need ability to Rename Groups, easyer to keep track on grouped things, i like to keep all different engines separated, and switching in between, depending on different tasks, like only small engines on fine manuvering/docking/mining, then the Larger ones on long distance flight etc
