Copy the nudge system from Satisfactory for building and pasting blueprints.

A hold modifier freezes the block or blueprint in place, allowing the user to move to a more optimal position or angle to view the lining up of the grid.

Then the user can tap WASD keys to align it in 25cm increments.

it isnt the same as in Satisfactory, but its close what he's doing at the 3 minute mark. "hold ctrl and ease it into position" exept for ofc the whole flying around at the same time i think.

Isn't precision mode is exactly that?

Not quite, that was what i was gonna answer aswell, then i thought a little longer about it. In satisfactory you have the ability to freeze the blueprint in place allowing you to move around and check that it's where you want it. Then you can resume moving it around. This is not the same as precision movement in SE2

Heres a quick demo of how satisfying nudging is in Satisfactory

I see, but I don't think I need that. You have undo after all. If you misplaced it, just undo and place again.

I doubt youll think that way after you realize that big grids when pasted can take 3-15 minutes from paste to finished pasting xD

Id definetly prefer to measure twice and paste once in the way performance is at this time

I totally agree! So often I found my self tapping my mouse so that I could place it correctly. Maybe like Ctrl+arrow keys
