Crash on Start Win 11 24H2

Probably not a surprise, however when updating to windows 11 which in my case started with the 24H2 the game will not launch past the initial small loading screen: I did try purging the roaming folder to let it re-initialize but that made no difference.

Now that the Linux people have shouted out their successes with SE2,
I hope to drop Windows as soon as I can purchase some new hardware.
Its looking like Microsoft would like to push all gaming onto the Xbox.
That is not my thing.
