Need More Information

Here is a video demonstration of the issue: https://youtu.be/NA_VzXKNOeU

It does the same thing in every menu.

UI Elements are not intractable at all on Linux, I realize that Linux is not technically supported, however I was hoping that this might be something that you could fix.

This started after the "Smoother, Stable & Faster" update!

Here are my system specs.

Hello Drew Chase,

Could you please provide your Game logs? You can find them here:

  • C:\Users\(your_username)\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers2\Temp\Logs

They will look like this:

1668e5a2afd1ef7c1cd1442c4ff9cc00

This should help determine if this is Linux-specific issue or not.

Kind Regards,

Bartosz

Yes, sorry for the delay. Its weird because all of the UI elements work on the main menu, but not in game. I'm wondering if some performance optimizations while in game are making it so my mouse movements aren't being registered in menus. also no menu works, pause menu or the inventory screen or any control panel.

Through some testing it seems to be an issue with the software cursor, when I force the use of the hardware cursor it works.

I ran the game with `PROTON_LOG=1 gamescope -W 5120 -H 1440 -f -- %command%` and it seems to completely fix the issue. I'm not sure what changed between the last update and "Smoother, Stable & Faster"
