[BUG] 2.4.0.77 - Solar panel not working in Tutorial world
Hi Kee Team!
while testing the new Tutorial in the world named Survival, I have noticed the Solar panel on the Bard is not working, I even turned OFF the Wind Turbine and still no power with sun at 12 o'clock.
So Idecided to build a new Station Grid to see if only the one on the Barn that was not working and it's the same building a new Solar panel on new Grid.
Here is my save published on the Workshop :
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3785397277
STR :
1 - Create a brand new world, the one having the Tutorial.
2 - Load and build a new station grid outside the Barn, a simple armor block with one Solar panel and one small battery.
2 - Notice the Solar panel show 0 Power used/provided and same for the one already on the Barn.

I have the same bug
Additional information :
I have noticed the Large Solar Panel is working.
I have used the Blueprint of the Large Solar panel since locked at the beginning of the Tutorial and it worked like a charm :

I had the same problem but with small solar panels. Plus I would add that solar panel output continues to be erratic: two adjacent panels will have wildly varying outputs. And a panel on a mobile grid gives no power. I even put two panels on the new cargo truck and got nothing. They always say they are functioning, and they are definitely "attached."

I confirm the bug

switching to large solar panels does not work for me. All creations and pre-existing structures are not getting battery power on the planet (don't know in space, can't get Ice to fly back up) after updating to 2.4
Currently having to build a large wind farm to try to replace the batteries but will eventually be hard locked from the quests when the quest buildings run out of juice ):

I see same. Solar Panels produce no power output (except for sporadic readings around 70-80 KW.

Patch notes say 5m solar panels were fixed but i can confirm 10m solar panels also work perfectly after patch too! time to scrap that wind farm haha

I have the same problem. I started a new tutorial section, and on the barn I installed seven 5-meter solar panels. They remain at 0% all day long, regardless of the sun's angle.

Same issue with 10m or 5m. I don't have any solar panel working whatever how I rotate them

Hello Engineers,
This issue has been fixed with the latest Hotfix - 2.4.0.86. Solar Panels now correctly produce power while in sunlight.
As such, I will close this thread.
