Information as a commodity
Datapads are seen as a portable means of carrying information.
They can be stored within inventories.
A filled datapad is device + data(information)
Using multiple datapads to store many pieces of information is cumbersome to manage.
It would be useful if the information could be separated/copied from the datapad and stored in a library archive block.
The library archive block could be used by both the player and other blocks as resource.
The library archive block can load/copy data(information) onto datapads.
Datapads with information can be traded.
Question: Could a datapad contain malware ?
Library archive blocks can share data with other library archive blocks.
Question: Should library archive blocks be limited to one per grid ?
What does this add to the game ?
Information has value, space is big, information will get the player doing something or going somewhere in the void instead of being aimless or self absorbed. Do not get me wrong, setting your own goals is good, but games need resistance and encounter to keep them interesting. Information as a resource is as valid as any other.
I like this feedback
Question : Clanker block, to compete with the CA.
Many pieces of information come from blocks and from the UI. The data from in game UI, as yet, is not accessible to the block world, I would like this to change in the future.

You could find a datapad pointing you to the rough coords of huge ore deposit on one of those abandoned mining outposts.
