A 'simple' 7 step tutorial - hah.

The contract location is in the middle of a mesa. I suggest that it should be on the platform with the ship to be copied.

Creating a blueprint is easy enough.

I notice that the ship to be copied is designated 'Atmospheric Miner' and yet it has no drills.

Placing a print in the designated area is not. I am assuming that the designated area is the highlighted cube, which covers the provided platform, which in turn is protected and cannot be built on or serve as a base for the projection. The site is a mountain top and fails to offer any close by suitable building sites. Finally, it is not clear that building at a distance location is acceptable.

Note. placing the print near the platform triggers a tall support column, which requires additional steel plate adding to the burden of making the build.

I note that the way to get rid of a misplaced or unacceptably placed projection is to find, build and delete the the truss block that locks onto the ground. This is not explained and needs to be.

Next, it is not clear to me that that the build can be achieved with a hand welder. In particular, the layer of 50cm cubes that sandwiched between the connector and the bottom of the cockpit are unreachable. I have not determined if deleting one to gain access and replacing it later is acceptable. Again, this is not an acceptable situation for a 'simple' tutorial task. The alternative is that the engineer has an available welder ship. Given that it is easy to complete the Vallation Station series of contracts without unlocking either the ship welder or the small area effect welder, I assert that this contract is broken.

Logic suggests that the intent was for the beginning engineer to grind down the supplied ship to get the parts to build the copy. However, using only a suit will exhaust the available energy necessitating many trips to and fro to Vallis Reach to recharge and be able to continue.

I was mistaken. The 50cm cube layer is sandwiched between the front cargo container and the connector.

Also the contract progress is slow to update when an error is made. Eventually, the game realizes that an error was more and changes the status from a blank field to 'Delete'. Why 'Delete' and not 'Failed' which would be more consistent with other contracts. Perhaps this Tutorial was written a long time ago and not updated as standards have been upgraded.
