Tethering Cables

I'd like to have cables capable of transporting power from one grid to another, with relays/junctions. Something that could look like the cable on the Space Engineer. With construction contracts, I feel that energy cables could make builds much more interesting!

I love the idea of Tethers for Power and maybe Fluid transfer but not inventory. I know the small connector is 'just as good' when you're connecting a base/ship/craft, but a Tether makes a little more sense when trying to connect one base to a 'distant' Ore detector or radio array.
The problem with contracts in general is that you cannot modify most existing structures unless the request is to build/dismantle something, making it difficult to know which connector to use. If a Cable/Tether could be a universal connector for power, I think it would be a good addition. Being able to jump-start other grids without being able to access their existing connectors or build new ones.
