pasted blueprints are not generating support blocks in space station

Pasting a ship blueprint above my space base platform is not generating support blocks and therefore I can not start welding components.

Hello Dave,

Support truss is only generated in Planet's Gravity so that the Blueprint does not fall to the ground. In space there is no need for such supports - you should be able to place the Blueprint and start welding it without any obstruction - remember that it is only possible to weld projections that are touching physical Blocks.

Could you please confirm that is the case for you?

I was getting a "no connection points detected". But I was trying to weld a non-armour block. I see now that I can in fact weld armour blocks in the pasted projections in space.

I also noticed that if I bump any part of the structure as I begin welding, then the model and the projection starts spinning uncontrollably off in to space.

Hello Dave,

The "No Connection Points Detected" notification may have appeared due to trying to weld a Block that was not connected by a Mount Point to another. You can see the connected Mount Points as green squares after pressing Ctrl key while holding a block and moving it on another.

As for structure spinning after bumping it - this is expected behavior of the Game physics. Please note that you can manually place support blocks in any form on an Asteroid or existing stationary Grid and place your Blueprint on that support.

As this intended behavior rather than an issue, I will close this thread as Not a Bug.

Happy Engineering!
