SE2: 'Assertion failed' error on launch, unable to play

fresh install, trying to launch the game. would attach minidump but am unfortunately unable

have tried:

install .net 4.6.1 via visual studio
checked for driver updates (have latest)
checked file integrity
deleted appdata
restarted computer after all previous changes

specs:

AMD Ryzen R7 2700X processor
AMD RX Vega 56 GPU
32GB DDR4 @2933MHz
ASRock B450m Pro4-F motherboard

Hello spdx-se,

This seems to be tied to your GPU as it is not entirely stable with the newest driver you have installed. There are a few ways to solve this:

On Steam, set the launch options in the Game to: -nodirectstorage, and if that fails, try -dx11
If that does not help, try to downgrade your GPU driver to version: 24.3.1 WHQL from here: Radeon™ RX Vega 56 Drivers and Downloads | Previous Versions
Lastly, if you are planning to, upgrade your OS to Windows 11

Additionally, could you please provide Game log as well? It will look like this: 340a1819a2d059c6239e23a83527dd5a

oh, my bad! here's the latest logs with the Render12 one attached as well. i've tried with the flags suggested but am unfortunately still getting the same error, will try to downgrade my GPU drivers momentarily

unfortunately downgrading my video drivers didn't work, i'm still getting the exact same error. here are the latest logs. i'm not currently planning to upgrade to windows 11 and i wouldn't like to.

this seems like a linker targeting error, maybe i'm missing some redistributables?

Hmm, I cannot see the arguments being used in any of the logs you've provided. Have you set the Launch options like this? 43105f961da314db4a3ea8cbbb43175c

i've also noticed from the logs that the game's targeting .NET 9, should i be using a specific version?

Thank you for providing the logs. As I expected, there is no info about this crash inside. I will ask our programmers for a solution.

As for the .NET framework, Space Engineers 2 uses version 9. In the meantime while I search for possible solution, please try to reinstall this version (x64) from here: Download .NET 9.0 (Linux, macOS, and Windows) | .NET 46f3404a6c9ece227462f1007c7b5bed

Hello spdx-se,

After speaking with our Programmers we have found the reason for this crash - the crash is in third party library wrapping up DirectStorage. The fix to this however is not an easy one and would require us to update to the latest allocation which would need some refactoring.

I have reported this internally and added this thread to our internal ticket (SE2-29953). However, due to amount of work needed, I cannot say when this will be solved.
