In SE1 we could simply remove the projection from the projector. In SE2, you have to manually delete each projected block. Need a way to remove the whole projection.

I found that I could just Ctrl-X the projected grid and it removes it.

I have tried with CTRL+CANC as like as In SE1 but seems this function is not enabled yet.
I have tried CTRL+X for cutting the ships, as suggested ,and it works.

But I think the op wanted to remove a single or multiple blocks not a complete projected ship. I want the ability to point at a block and remove a projection of that single block. At the moment you have to weld and delete. If you project a block that is placed incorrectly it won’t let you weld it so you are stuck. I have that issue now on a ship when I accidentally put a thruster the wrong way and now it won’t weld.

At the moment you can take a block, any block, I use the detail one because it is easier to see around, and focus on a single block in the projection. You should see an orange bracket showing which block you have targeted. Then right-click on it and that block will be removed. You can multi-select blocks but I find it a bit haphazard and fiddly (like a lot of the enhanced building functions) I know this works because I keep doing it unintentionally.
