Corner and quarter armor block shapes needed

When doing base construction using the square half armor blocks, I find that I am needing to use a square full armor block for the corners.

An L corner shape or a quarter square rectangle could both be used to fill in the corner, but neither currently exist in the block shapes. I also didn't see an L block with a slope in the gap, which would also have worked.

You can use the 0.5 m blocks to make an L-shaped 2.5 m block. Make it a blueprint, and you can place it as a whole item.

With the 0.25 m grid system you can now actually create all kinds of 2.5 m block shapes by just combining the smaller blocks.

There is also a request for half sized blocks in another topic, which is already quite popular:

A half armor block plus two half size cubes would give the desired shape without introducing an extra L-shape. I suggest supporting that proposal, as it seems really well thought out.

This screenshot contains the issue that I am running into with having to build up an L shaped corner block that is 2.5m square but has a 1.25m width for each edge. The grid size is 0.5m, and there is a half block that is 0.5m x 0.5x by 0.25m, but there is no block that is 0.5m x 0.25m x 0.25m. There is a half-sloped that might do the trick, but you can't stack a half-slope with a half-slope to make this shape. The two won't overlap, even though shape-wise they don't cover each other.

I'm running into similar issues trying to make a 2.5m x 1.25m x 1.25m quarter-size block.

I can see how to make a faux-shape by letting the triangle shape cover part of the gap - but that leaves a hole in the structure that could also be a point of weakness in the physics engine..

This is why I'm saying a quarter shape or a square L shape would be useful. With a 2.5m x 2.5m x 1.25m half-block, there is no way to fill in a 2.5m x 1.25m x 1.25m block to fill in the corner. And attempting to build up the shape from the smaller blocks is not possible without leaving internal holes.

A similar block is needed for the 0.5m size as well.

I did not see the other post, so thanks for pointing that out, Rabiator. I have already added my thumbs up to it. I agree that there should probably be a small block size that can be used to build up the others from minimal shapes.

I'm also hoping that these shapes are already in the planning and just might not have been added yet.

Detail blocks may be of use, though personally I'd still very much prefer Keen give us the 1.25m blocks for things like this.

There are 0.25m x 0.25m x 0.25m blocks: cube, ramp, and inverted corner. These can be used to fill the empty spots.

There's also the approach of using hollow shapes. If your wall is 1.25m thick, then you can use a 0.5m block on the left side, and a 0.5m block on the right side, and simply leave the center hollow. Cover the top and bottom center lines with the thin rod piece. The hollow interior is not visible so doesn't matter.

Of course, there *are* large block shapes missing that we can not create ourselves with the smaller cubes. Basically, almost all block shapes that need to have some kind of angled surface that is more complex than can be made by combining simple 1x1 or 1x2 straight ramp surfaces, are not possible.
