Passanger Compartments and People Moving Through Conveyors
To allow for missions where player moves passangers.
I propose the two following things:
- A Passanger Compartment Block, basically a cockpit but without control.
- Players and NPC being able to move through large conveyors! This is a bit radical, but it is the easiest solution. Player/NPC from one cockpit/compartment, can move to any other cockpit/compartment, as long as they are linked by conveyors!
If conveyors can smartly move any component to anywhere, surely they can do the same with people! :D
This allows for missions where player transports NPC from one place to another.
This also allows player smoothly switching seats within the ship. Move to player controlled turret in seconds!
This also allows player smoothy moving between ships if theyre connected by connector.
This also allows player to move between rooms, if both have a connector.
As for UI:
- Press button to enter conveyor system
- Select from list where you want to move (connectors, cockpits, passanger compartments, weapons...)
- You get moved there
Very simple!
The only alternative is NPC being able to smoothly pathfind their way around player made ships. If that is achieved, this suggestion becomes less of a necessity and more of a convenience.
What do you think, is engineers taking dives through conveyor network too radical?

Could also be a tube system alternative to the conveyor system. But since cockpits already got conveyor ports, and need conveyor ports, I though that would be a funny way to transport yourself as well!
