Engine effects bugs and unfinished quests

Sometimes the effects of the engines disappear, restarting does not help.
Couldn't complete the first quest, registration in the survival kit is not counted.

I had the same problem with thruster missing visual effects. You need to "Verify integrity of game files" to fix it. That worked for me.
