Improving Flares.
I think it would be nice to see a fairly hefty improvement to Flares.
Now, why would this be useful? For illumination of course!
As it stands Flares actually do that part really well, they are able to cut through fog and rain enough for you to see your surroundings pretty well. But the problems start at their duration, they dont even seem to last 10 seconds in the best circumstances.
I would like to see their duration increased to about 20 - 30 seconds, this would make firework launchers (on rovers at least) quite useful because it would allow you to see your surroundings in the dark and in poor weather much better than any spotlight/searchlight could while still requiring you to have a launcher and steady supply of Flares to keep it going.
