Ship inventories not available for acquisition contract completion / unable to dock with NPC station

Dan Kelleher shared this bug 4 years ago
Solved

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if I need to to actually connect to the station (Which I am unable to, even after enabling trading mode. However docking my own ships to each other within the safe zone works fine).

My ship with the components required for some NPC acquisition contracts is hovering 1m above the platform in the associated safe zone, but only my character's inventory is available to pull from. I'd happily carry them in myself, but contracts don't accept partial completion.

The ship is from a previous save. I tried cycling ownership (Me -> Nobody -> Me) with no success.

have tested it in singleplayer, i was able to conect my ship to a NPC station. As i have realized that the Trading system ist only load the storage of Containers (not connectors), i was able to trade and i was also able to finish contracts.

I can't make it work at all. Same issue. I wouldn't call this issue solved, since there is no sollution given here.

I'm in the same boat, with about 4x suit inventory in "acquisition" goods sitting in a ship. Granted, I have -13 rep with the faction, but that's still well within the "can interact" range, which suggests I should be able to dock for trade purposes (even if docking doesn't give me power or anything else).

This issue is definitely not solved... I can dock my ship, but my ship is not available to select for completing a contract.
