Refineries only everdraw 1 kw of power

Solved

Refineries, big and small, and survival kits only ever draw 1 kw of power when both idle or in function.

Hi,

Where did you get that information? Did you see Required input to be 1kW and refinery was still refinering or you just heard the sound?

I checked again and there seems to be a large delay from when the refinery starts refining and when the power consumption updates.

OK. Was it multiplayer game on DS? What was your ping?

On public test eu3 server the refineries only draw 1kw of power even with 4 speed module. From the chat it seams everyone has this. If you access the control panel where it says the maximum that is 2.8 MW but required is just 1kw always. Even when its full of ore.

Upon further investigation: the refinery did change to 2.8MW consumption but not immediately.


However ONLY using 2 solar panel with a combined 78.09 kW output and a total consumption of 38.48 kW (just some minimal stuff on ship) the refinery (with 4 speed module) was able to work perfectly with only 1 kW required power. Also didn't had any noise or sound. Just working in silence.

Tweaking around: if I turned the reactors on the full 2.8 MW consumption returned. Turning reactors off briefly stopped the refinery but it started working again but in silence and with 1kW consumption.

With one solar panel the refinery stopped. Looked like if the consumption of the ship was less than the maximum available output the refinery started working with 1 kW. If the ship used more than available max output of the solar panels the refinery did not work at all.

Also the amount of refined ingot was the same with 2.8 MW and with 1kW power usage.
