Buy-able only items?
Completed
I feel like the Store is going to get old pretty soon for some reason. Like, why would I buy stuff if I can make/get it myself? (this is just me, I guess some people will find buying ships and items very handy maybe.
So, why not adding items that can only be obtained in the Store?
Example ideas:
Special Hand Grinder (or whatever name): it will be like a normal Grinder but it will not destroy items when you grind a container, also it will not destroy the Power Cells.
High End Hand Drill: Detection Range 100 meters or more, Auto Ore Collection, faster drilling, etc.
Rare materials, ore: Platinum, Uranium for example. or maybe, Aluminum, Titanium, Copper, etc
Also, should be weapons and ammo only buy-able items too?
I know you can buy Uranium and platinum ore/ingots from the 'aggressive miner' group. A uranium ingot is worth (either 8 or 80k, i cant remember)-- I guess that's a reason to mine it now. I never actually wind up using it as it's so rare to find these days.

I've only a few hours to check out the economy update, but I think the store system, particularly being able to purchase hard-to-find ores will be really useful in the early game before you've found a source for all your mineral needs and teched up to late tier production blocks. In the late game, I'd have plenty of resources, so the stores function mosty as rest stops where I can refuel and rearm my ship without having to return back to base. I like the idea of specialty items for stores and that's why I agree with Keen making the EnergyKit and HealthKit consumables non-craftable. I think WaistedSpace pitched the idea on one of his streams that they make some DLC content purchasable from the store.
I would like to see them do the reverse as well, and make some non-craftable items that are really valuable to sell, but otherwise useless. Maybe model it as some kind of McGuffin that can be used my mission designers or video makes as a prop?

Hi,
We introduced Zone Chip, Medkit and Powerkit with the economy. Those are only in NPC stores. Also you can find Uranium in outposts.
Thanks for the feedback
