Europa doesn't have stone.

I am saying that europa doesn't have stone, because the europan start gives you the standard drop pod, which requires stone for you to advance.

Surviving on Europa is challenge for those who seek it.

What you don't have is stone, what you have a lot of is ice.

Engineer yourself out of that situation! It's doable, we tested it :)

I was just thinking it was unintentional. I did engineer my way out of that, but it meant that I had to leave europa first thing.

thats not really a great solution though. the point of starting on Europa is to start and play on europa, not leave it immediately to go to space, and maybe head for mars.

Not being funny or anything but Europa is an ice moon, they believe the core to be water if I remember correctly, so having stone there is nonsense. Plus the fact shouldn't worlds have pros and cons to living there, with the expect being earth like.

technically its a 'Europa-like' moon, it just doesnt have the '-like' in it

Well, point is that survival kit doesn't get you very far if you stay on that moon.

I actually hadn't considered that problem with the survival kit however I think the better answer is to start that easy start to a different moon, or maybe some stone nodes like we have ore nodes, not sure what would be the best option really. Personally I like the idea of Europa being a challenge, I get what you're saying but wouldn't it be better to keep planets and moons different to one another, makes things more exciting in a exploration/survival aspect but I do understand blind eyes have to be turned in favor of game play over realism.

Hello, Engineers!

It does, but the deposits are randomized.

Kind regards,

I know one can enable meteor showers in-game, but wouldn't it be nice if Europa already was designed with stones at existing impact craters? Maybe even making it the only way one could find stones on this moon?

I will double check this.
