Losing to much reputation for the gain

I played the economy playtest #1 and #2 and the sum of faction drop compare to the sum of faction gain is too big when completing contract.

We should not lose more reputation than we win as a total: The sum of reputation gain should be greater or at worst equal to the sum of all reputation lost.

This is considering outside of pure evil action like grinding and attacking npc asset which I understand can give only negative reputation for almost no gain elsewhere.

That way a trader/industrial player could keep somewhat neutral or slightly positive to a maximum of NPC as long he work on counter balancing is reputation. Otherwise we will all end up having a few friend and many enemies.

Eve Online which I played 5 years in a row a long time ago had a great faction balance system and you could even recover very bad reputation for working for a somewhat friendly faction to the one you were enemy with if you were not enemy with it as well. This could be an example to be inspired with.

Yeah, even Freelancer factions were easier to understand - ok, they were a hell lot easier than those of Eve. Maybe you could at least release an information which faction is "good" with which other faction.

I completely agree with this.

The reputation loss is too great, and there is another problem: if a hauling mission's recipient is a faction with which you have lost too much reputation (even though in most cases you didn't fail a single mission with it, and it was lost due to proxy) you can't deliver the package, causing you to lose reputation with your good faction. This is too much. It should be possible to be friendly with 50% of factions (but it should take a lot of effort), while just staying in neutral relationship should be easy, like keeping 90% neutral should be reasonable for a reasonable amount of effort.
