Wind Turbines should have a random variation of power generation.

Right now the Wind Turbines are like an infinite power source. There should be a variation of power depending on random "wind" speeds, or even to halt completely due to no "wind"

They are too weak as is, even without a random element. If they become random they need to be buffed first.

Even solar panels can be calculated and provide the same power over the course of the day, since the sun is predictable and we do not have any interfering weather effects.

I agree. this could make people build varying power sources. Also in researching wind turbines they usually generate more power at night since wind generally picks up at night.

Maybe some day there will be other weather events. increased wind power during rain but less solar during rain.

During my play I was also using hydrogen generators when extra power was needed.

How are they infinite power sources? They produce only 400 kW under perfect conditions, and those perfect conditions are a quite significantly voluminous spacing and belonging to a static grid.

Solar panels restricted, too. They only produce n kW (I don't remember right now) under perfect conditions, and those perfect conditions are being unshaded and being perfectly aligned to the sun (read: requires tracking).

They may not have immediately similar, complementary, or otherwise related restrictions, but that doesn't mean they are completely without them.
