Thruster tiers and speed limit changes

Sometimes it's really boring when you have to pass 120 km at only 100 m/s and it would be too easy if speed limit doesn't exist. The best idea would be something in between. My idea is to make atmospheric thrusters but with tiers, each thruster tier more expensive made from more harder-to-find materials, but higher speed limit. Tier 1 thruster (normal materials, 100 m/s), tier 2 (requires more materials, more power, researched thruster tier 1 tech, but speed limit increased to 150 or maybe 200 m/s), 3rd thruster tier may even require platinum but speed limit also increased.

hello!

the problem is not that the ships are not balanced as going fast, but that you can not detect collisions because collision checks are integral, but movement is not, and because not yet spawned objects around your ship are impossible to collide with. as your ship moves nothing exists around it until your player character spawns it to be around your ship

in the game interstellar rift it is possible to go into "warp" mode and that is basically disregarding physical objects around your ship except greater things such as stars' heat. i think with warp mode in space engineers too the speed limit is possible to be elevated too
