Suit Changes

I have always had an issue with the suits in the game. Just feels strange to me that everyone, regardless of the role they play, has the exact same functionality in their suits. I think it'd be super cool if there were different suits with different strengths and weaknesses.


For example:


Crew Suit

-No Pressurization

-No Jetpack

-Lvl 1 Armor

-Full access to all ship systems

-Minor power for tools/life support

-Low backpack capacity

-High movement speed


Soldier Suit

-Pressurization

-Fast, short duration Jetpack

-Lvl 3 Armor

-Limited access to ship systems

-Moderate power for tools/life support

-Moderate backpack capacity

-Low movement speed


Engineer Suit

-Pressurization

-Slow, long duration Jetpack

-Lvl 2 Armor

-Full access to ship systems

-High power for tools/life support

-High backpack capacity

-Moderate movement speed


Just a few ideas. All would have tons of opportunity to expand on skins and the sort, creating more life for the game.

I think it might be easier to enable customization with modules instead of full kits. This would give more variety to gameplay and allow people to combine their preferred features. Combat balance isn't much of an issue, because of the relative strength of grids, and any combination that leaves acceptable balance range should become obvious fairly quickly.
