Simple compass (only working on planets) and map

Because we spend a lot of time on the ground in survival.
we could do with some basic navigation tools.
Compass and planet map would help a LOT!

I’d love a compass item that you have to activate to look at and an LCD script for it to. There is a mod that puts one on your HUD, that useful for some people but unrealistic. That should be an option setting I think.
And for a planet map, hell yes! You could plot gps markers a lot more immersive with a map! Perhaps some kind of auto plotting device meaning you need to take it with you to explore or have a drone with a camera send info back to it – thus slowly revealing the planet you are on. But also an option to just have maps available in game. Even the default height map from the planet files wouldn’t be a bad thing. Better yet give modders a map file to add in the planet data.

A high tech space game without a map or compass just doesn't make sense. Is it so hard to do? Look at Empyrion GS, can't you do something like that - limited as it is. Navigation aid should be a priority - seriously. The game is unfinished, I still love it.
