Ship to Ship Combat

To begin with: I truly and dearly hope that you all at Keen Software House are working hard on the "Warfare 2" update, and that it contains much if not all of what I am about to suggest.

1. The handheld rifle and gatling turret do too much damage to blocks. As it is, they both take down armor much faster than rockets.

2. There's only 2 options for weapons, and they both suck. The gatling turret looks OK as a PDC (point-defense-cannon) but doesn't hold up as well when compared to real warships' primary armament. The missile turret, while an accurate depiction of surface-to-air missile batteries, is, once again, entirely unlike real ship-to-ship weapons.

2b. Torpedoes (a much more realistic ship-to-ship weapon) are doable, but square, and only Ion powered. An inline connector, or merge block with conveyor function, would allow for hydrogen-powered torpedoes, and a conical "torpedo warhead" block would fit right in with the new small hydrogen tank. - This or just add "Torpedo Launcher" blocks that fire torpedo projectiles (which would be easier from a user perspective, but not as realistic)

2c. Some serious 250-450mm guns (smaller calibers would need turreted variants) would be needed for after point #3.

3. Armor block health values need adjustment. Heavy armor should be much more expensive and slightly more resistant given its weight. Light armor is actually OK as-is, but only if you add a third tier of "Medium Armor" which would be exactly what it sounds like.

Honestly, even if you ignore point #3, points #1 and 2c are still valid, and if you can't be motivated by gameplay reasoning, quiet your discomfort with the thought that bigger anti-ship guns would look much much cooler.

TLDR: Torpedoes need work, small guns need work, big guns need to be a thing, missiles could stand to be more explosive, we need medium armor.

Also; if you are working on Warfare 2, please give us something to look forward to. Just something to let us know hope is on the horizon.

I second that.

And confirmation that some issues are beeing resolved with turrets, pistons, rotors etc.

Very well written feedback and valid points, the added value is clear, upvoted.

Blocks next to the door are still much easier to break than the door. There is clear something wrong).

Need a rebalance of armor blocks.
