Return O2/H2 Generator Output (Pre Survival Update)

Small grids now require Hydrogen Tanks for Hydrogen Thrust with this change we loose a balance we had before. This also effects previous workshop builds aesthetic look having a large Hyrdogen Tank now required to function.

The balance before we had heavier weight and less need to refuel with tanks. Generators were light but low fuel.

Please return this option back!

Thank you!

This change broke a lot of my small grids. Hydrogen containers will not fit in my designs but it still utilized h-thrusters.

Same here, Multiple Workshop builds are broken currently till this gets fixed.

A good point was brought up that a smaller small grid Tank should be added. I agree but Generators should be reverted in the mean time till a new block is added.

A better change would be adding small hydrogen tanks. The O2/H2 gens were never intended to fly on, but Keen left us no other option. A reasonable sized tank would fix the current problems.

There's a post on here somewhere about adding my mod (compact tanks) to the game. they're balanced w/ vanilla values, I see absolutely 0 reasons not to have an option like them.

I agree, adding a new small Tank block is the most requested fix for this.

Whichever is faster to make our Vanilla Workshop builds work again like they did two weeks ago.

I just hope it doesn't take as long as Ladders did.

In the meantime the values on Generators can be rolled back till a new block can be added.

This reduction in both storage space and production of hydrogen has greatly limited the possibility of designs that utilize o2/h2 generators as a power source. Not only has this alteration to generators limited what we can create. It has also broken all prior builds/creations using o2/h2 gens.

We need generators o2/h2 generators restored to their previous patch configuration. Or at least increase the storage space to 10k ice and return the production values of hydrogen produced. Additionally small grid also needs a small hydrogen block. There has been small hydrogen blocks for years thanks to modding. Small single block or a size of three small blocks hydrogen bottle should of been added into the default game ages ago Keen...

I have also started a thread on steam regarding the storage space issue and I found out about the hydrogen production reduction the other day. Keen these changes were not on the update change log nor were they a wanted feature. In the past, thruster power/output was also reduced in this manner. That change combined with this reduction means we have to use triple the amount of blocks to achieve the same goal. Space engineers is already mocked for how underpowered crafts perform unless they are covered in thrusters. Please do not expand the problem further. Space engineers has finally released and this is how Keen wants new players to experience the game? These issues are a step backwards from fun and creation.

If anyone wants to also comment on my thread in steam regarding the issue here is the link

I have submitted this during the public test. They went with it anyway. If they don't want to rebalance the h2/o2 generator at least give us the option of having a hydrogen tank of the same size 3x3x2 as the h2/o2 generator.

I'd go even further and ask for 1x1x3 hydrogen tank on small and large grids.

I'd also ask for 1x3x3 semi-large cargo container [large grids]. and 2x5x5 semi-large cargo container for small grids.

Yeah with the current generator reductions compact ships are a thing of the past. Either the ship needs to be a featherweight or tripled in size compared to before to be useful.

With the Wasteland Update doubling Hydrogen Output, I would say this has been resolved! Thank you Keen!
