Either that or make them match with corner blocks correctly, they look absolutely horrible when matched with such blocks.

I agree, especially on small grids they look terrible! They don't even reach the whole way, so you get these weird, short metal bits all over your ship.

I like the idea, but until it is implemented there are mods that do this already.
