I have this idea for a carpet bombing ship which now as being discontinued, I was thinking more and more how I can make this able to build with out having the bombs sticking on the ship.

So could there be a option to build things with out the need of a support ? (like a block next to the hologram and such)

It's just an idea.

Workarounds:

Put a merge block there for temporary support, then release it. It would leave a merge block on the welded construct, per se.
Another way (especially for small block) is to connect it with light armor, then fire a fixed Gatling gun to destroy the connecting block once the welding is complete. This is a common and very quick way to detach missiles. It allows for clean separation without extra block, at least in the small block case.
