Problem: LCD script texture makes things hard to read
Submitted
There's a hard-coded texture baked into the LCD scripts that won't go away, and makes text hard to read, and is disruptive to viewing other information. This really needs to go, or at least we need a way to turn it off.

This has also bugged me, i can't make it transparent, and it changes with text color... I would like to be able to have a solid background.
I sure am glad that my PC screen, phone screen, TV, and ANY other screens I look at don't have this grid stuck on it. You know the programmers would lose their minds if there was a non-removable grid on their screens.

You know what's sad? The Automatic LCDs 2 script now supports these LCDs, and does it better because, in text mode, you don't have this damn mandatory texture.
