Please tell me I'm wrong

I just got a problem with my windows installation that forced me to to have to reformat my C drive in order to reinstall windows. Now my steam folder is installed on my D: drive to avoid loosing any data if this was to happen. After finally figuring out the problem and reinstalling Windows I now start Space engineers and cant find any save files. Please tell me these idiots didn't create the save file directory in a hidden folder somewhere on the C: drive where nobody even thinks about looking and with out creating a backup somewhere.

By default your saves are in the c:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves\ folder. If you moved your user files to different drive, or made backup, you're probably safe. If not, well...then you're screwed.

So basically I wasn't wrong. Luckily I'm not screwed,.. as there is a thing called hard drive recovery but I came really close to loosing over 200 hours of work and all interest in this game and any future development of any game that get made by these clueless amateurs. This game is getting so stupid it's becoming predictable.

How can't you have your own backups ? It's now Keen responsibility if you don't have.

Um, a large number of games save to AppData nowadays.

yeah,.. an increasing number of new developers do,.. and its a problem for several reason not only if something goes south on your windows drive. But I'm not going to get all technical about it.

Well turns out I was wrong about one thing as I cant find a recovery tool that even tries to recover .sbs files so there goes my entire time in Space engineers down the drain and I'm not going to waste one penny or a second more of life on this stupid game. I'm not the first and I wont be the last.
